I need to say I was like WTF? when I saw the Waterproof Dog Rain Jacket but then I was like well I don’t know… All I know that for my opinion, a healthy dog doesn’t need Rain Jacket. The unhealthy dog is not really suitable to go for big trips. So this product is somehow useless. But then again I am talking only from my point of view. I know that my dog doesn’t like the rain to much, but if we are caught by rain while we are walking we continue to walk, or it happened to run or just full around in the rain. When we arrived home, a big towel, wipe it dry and voila, everything is cozy again.

One other idea: to keep a rain jacket on my dog, I would need a bunch of superglue or any kind of strong glue because he just simply hates to have anything on its back. Oh well maybe in winter, I was able to put a blanket over him, but this was only after he had a bath and was a little bit wet yet. Well maybe some dogs need this kind of “outfit”.

I saw some fantastic dog backpacks, and yes, I would like to have one, and let the dog carry his own things, like food , or the very cool Dog Harness for cases when there is need to “grab” the dog, or be sure he is safe.

I wanted to say, PrezLee is crazy, but then I remembered: he is not crazy, he is “just” a doberman. It is incredible how much energy he has. Lately I took him out today for a long walk 2 times a day. Rest of the time he can spend it or in the house or outside in the yard if the weather allows. He plays with the other dog, he takes his watchdog duty seriously, plus the 2 big walks, and he is still full of energy. Luckily here where we spent the winter, the house is almost the last on the street, after us there are 2 more, and the empty fields. He is on the leash for about 5 minutes, until I can be sure there is nothing and nobody in the neighborhood and after that he can run and jump as much as he wants.

Well… PrezLee knows that this blanket is his.

Little pig LiLee doesn’t agrees with PrezLee… Before I changed his blanket, there was no problem. But since I put this clean one, PrezLee protects it from LiLee. The nice thing is that he just makes scary face, and makes loud noice, and shows aggression, but he doesn’t hurts the pig. It behaves exactly like the old dog behaved with him, when he was a puppy: he tries to look very angry, and pushes her away with her nose. First I was like OMG, now he will kill that poor little thing, but no… it was just to scary her away from his blanket.

But I can’t let this like this… I put back his dirty blanket. I can’t wash it now, because it would never dry, and because of the mud that was lately it’s a little bit more than dirty. But I can’t let them to argue for the blanket.

The interesting part with the other blanket, was that it was not PrezLee’s from the beginning… it was given to him a few month ago. But this blanket, from the photo, was his, since he was a puppy, it was a “car blanket”.

Now that the old blanket is back… now he again let’s the little pig to sleep on it.

The little pig got a name Because she is a girl, and now part of the crazy animal farm here, her name became LiLee…

She is doing good, she gained weight and she is not so skinny as she was in the first days. Now we are pretty sure she will survive and she is going to be the queen of the yard… Apparently she has a very strong personality, she is not afraid of people anymore, and not a little bit of dogs either. But she doesn’t like’s show yet

She can’t go back to his siblings yet, because she is much smaller than the others, and she was taken away from her family because she managed to hurt her leg somehow. The other little piggies didn’t liked her because of this, and pushed her here and there. Maybe in a few weeks, when she grows bigger, she can meet the other little piggies again.

A few pictures

An early family photo, with mom and brothers…. they were 9, but only 5 survived

PrezLee “MUST” be there to see what happens with the little pig: her injured leg is bandaged

In her ‘kitchen cage’ – to her own safety she sleeps inside this

PrezLee is very gentle with “small creatures”. He is very excited to meet new animals all the time, and these small ones are his favorites! And not for eating them, but for taking care. I wasn’t expecting him to be like this, but I am really happy. He never shows any sign of aggression toward small animals. This time he met a little pig. This pig was born at my parents place, and he was weaker than his brothers. This is why they started to annoy the little one, bite his ears and push him, so we took him to the kitchen for a while. Luckily the piggy has nothing serious, maybe was just tired, because shortly he realized that “something bad” happened with him started to yell loudly and became agitated.
It was nice to see the little pig not being scared by the big dog, and on the other side, the dog not wanting to hurt the little pig. It was just a short “meeting”, because we took back the pig to be with his mother, and hopefully he will survive without any issues.

Two or three days ago, PrezLee had a fight with some other dogs. This was strange, because he usually goes away, and don’t start fights with any dog. Here where we live, in the nearby is a sheep heard, where are about 5-6 dogs running “wild”. They are let lose, and do whatever they want. In this country there is nothing that could stop them, maybe me if I take a gun and shoot all those dogs. Or maybe the cruel winter, where they die by natural reasons: they are frozen to death.

We are familiar with this kind of happenings, and in 99% of the cases we are just fine. Both dogs are big enough to take care of themselves and we already know how “they work” and take measures so this kind of events doesn’t happen to often.

Usually Gy?z?, the Saint Bernard is very angry with these dogs, and when they are coming to close to “his heard”, I mean we, he goes to fight them. PrezLee never helps him on this matter, he just runs around and tries to take care of himself. Because we knew that PrezLee doesn’t get involved in fights, and he doesn’t care about those dogs, he was let free, and Gy?z? was held. But this time PrezLee decided to do something else, he went to the dogs, and there was a small fight. Of course, when my dad saw the outcoming, he let Gy?z? to go and “save the little brother”

PrezLee has 2 little scars on his leg, nothing serious.

But before this fight I started to have some behavior issues with PrezLee, he somehow became cheeky with me, pushing my limits. I don’t like this but apparently from time to time, PrezLee simply needs to see who is the boss. And since this incident happened he became “normal again”. It is strange, but I will see the next following days if he behaves like it supposed or still needs to see that I am still in charge.
