Yesterday we was coming home from our regular daily walk when I noticed a cute little black doberman puppy. She was a cute girl, with cropped ears and tail, and it was so tiny and small comparing with my “elephant”. We talked for a while, the owners of course 
and exchanged phone numbers. When the weather will be fine, we will go out somewhere outside the city, to let the dogs run and play and see how they get along.

Black Doberman Puppy

Yesterday I went to a breeder and made a deposit for my first Doberman puppy. I have asked for a female, black and tan. The litter should arrive March 21! I am excited.

I have been studying all kinds of information on training my Doberman. Do you have a preference of trainer or training materials?
I have studied a bit “The Dog Listener” by Jan Fennell and watched a bunch of videos by zakgeorge21 ( http://www.youtube.com/user/zakgeorge21 )
With my dog, the best way to train it was by rewards. Positive reinforcement works like a charm.
Now that I have made my mind up that a Doberman is the breed I want, I can hardly wait to get my puppy. However, since I am not interested in showing or breeding, I have to wait to see what the mom has. Then, if there are pet/companions, I may get one according to the waiting list. The puppies will be born in the next couple of weeks.
